Line Sets
JMF Company has two unique, flexible manufacturing facilies that allow us to produce a full line of plain-end, duct-less, suction, and fully assembled line sets that are among the highest quality in the industry. PRODUCTS
Plain End - 510 standard combinations of plain end line sets that differ by liquid line size, suction line sizes insulation and lengths. Insulation is offered in either Standard Black Rubber insulation with wall thicknessof 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", or 1" or EZ-PULL® White or Black Polyethylene hard shell insulation with wall thickness of 1/2" or 3/4", or EZ-RUBBER jacketed rubberized insulation with wall thickness of 1/2" or 3/4".
Duct-Less(Mini-Splits) - 72 standard combinations of line sets that differ by liquid line size, suction line size, insulation and lengths. Insulation is offered in either Standard Black Rubber insulation or with wall thicknessof 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", or 1" or EZ-PULL® White or Black Polyethylene hard shell insulation with wall thickness of 1/2" or 3/4", or EZ-RUBBER jacketed rubberized insulation with wall thickness of 1/2" or 3/4". Duct-less line sets are offered with both the liquid and suction lines insulated, flare nuts on all ends or straight plain ends. JMF offers power wire (EZ-IN) in all configurations required by mini-split manufacturers and to meet local/national codes.
Insulated Copper Tube – 20 standard combinations of insulated copper tube differ by copper tube size, insulation and lengths. Insulation is offered in either Standard Black Rubber insulationor with wall thicknessof 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", or 1" or EZ-PULL® White or Black Polyethylene hard shell insulation with wall thickness of 1/2" or 3/4, or EZ-RUBBER jacketed rubberized insulation with wall thickness of 1/2" or 3/4". Insulated copper tube is offered with straight ends or flare nuts on both ends.
Fully Assembled and Custom – 510 standard combinations of fully assembled line setsby liquid line size, suction line sizes and lengths. As an option, our line sets can be ordered fully assembled with the suction line, liquid line, and thermostat wire connected as a one piece unit or with the liquid line and suction line connected without wire as a one piece unit. Insulation is offered in either Standard Black Rubber insulation or with wall thickness of 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", or 1" or EZ-PULL® White or Black Polyethylene hard shell insulation with wall thickness of 1/2" or 3/4", or EZ-RUBBER jacketed rubberized insulation with wall thickness of 1/2" or 3/4". JMF is the only major manufacturer that offers this labor saving solution to field installation.
INSULATION
Standard Black Rubber insulation is a flexible, closed cell and light weight elastomeric material designed for insulating cooling and heating refrigerant lines. The insulation is produced in compliance with specification ASTM C 534-88. The service temperature range is from -150° F to 200° F. The insulation has a thermal conductivity K value of .25 at the mean temperature of 75° F in accordance with test method ASTM C 177. The insulation is weather and ultraviolet resistant. For maximum longevity, insulation material must be either painted or jacketed where outdoor environmental exposure is present. It also has an ASTM E- 84 25/50 fire and smoke rating.
EZ-PULL® White or Black Polyethylene Hard Shell insulation is a flexible, polyethylene closed cell insulation with a polyethylene hard shell outer jacket designed to prevent tearing during installation. EZ-PULL® insulation is designed for insulating cooling and heating refrigerant lines and is marked every foot to assist with accurate refrigerant charge. EZ-PULL® insulation is weather and ultraviolet resistant and is paintable. For maximum longevity, insulation material must be either painted or jacketed where outdoor environmental exposure is present. The insulation is produced in compliance with specification ASTM E96-00. The service temperature range is in compliance with ASTM C 1427-07. EZ-PULL® insulation has a thermal conductivity K value of .25 at the mean temperature of 75° F in accordance with test method ASTM C 177. EZ-PULL® insulation is UL94 rated as ASTM E- 84 25/50 complaint as tested according to UL 723 for fire and smoke rating. EZ-PULL® insulation is available in ½" and ¾" wall thicknesses.
EZ-RUBBER is a flexible coextruded jacketed composite material applied to NBR/ PVC tubular insulation. It is a polymeric jacketed material that offers excellent flexibility, abrasion and weather resistance, making it ideal for outdoor and indoor applications. EZ-RUBBER insulation is designed for insulating cooling and heating refrigerant lines and is marked every foot to assist with accurate refrigerant charge. EZ-RUBBER insulation is weather and ultraviolet resistant in extreme enviroments. The insulation is produced in compliance with specification ASTM E96-00. The service temperature range is in compliance with ASTM C 1427-07. EZ-RUBBER insulation has a thermal conductivity K value of .25 at the mean temperature of 75° F in accordance with test method ASTM C 177. EZ-RUBBER insulation is UL94 rated as ASTM E- 84 25/50 complaint as tested according to UL 723 for fire and smoke rating. EZ-RUBBER insulation is available in ½", ¾" and 1" wall thicknesses.
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
To insure the installation of all Linesets products is performed correctly, please adhere to these required industry installation practices This includes our standard black rubber insulation, our EZ-Pull and our EZ-RUBBER :
LINESET SEALING:
To minimize heat loss and control condensation, proper sealing of the line set insulation during the installation process in accordance with ASTM C1710 is mandatory.
It is especially important to seal the end of pipe run to prevent ambient air from entering the system. Failure to do so could result in condensation formation between the insulation and pipe.
JMF recommends using Armacell 520, K-Flex 620 or 720-LVOC (or equivalent) adhesives.
UV PROTECTION:
EZ-PULL® white & black polyethylene hard shell insulation is a flexible, polyethylene closed cell insulation with a polyethylene hard shell outer jacket designed to prevent tearing during installation. EZ-PULL® insulation is weather and ultraviolet resistant and is paintable. For maximum longevity, insulation material must be either painted or jacketed where outdoor environmental exposure is present.
EZ RUBBER insulation is formulated with a rubberized outer shell to withstand extreme weather and ultraviolet exposure.
